Heavier Activities Running

I was going to make a post about two days ago, but the night that I got home I was hit with a nasty bug. Let's just say that I was in a plane sitting way in the back with a bunch of heavy sneezers. Been coughing up brown gunk since the first morning after landing and most of it is gone. Just a little bit of yellow right now. Should be fine by morning.

While I was resting, I've been working from for the week. One project was on hold during my meetings in another region, something about server migrations, but the other project I was working on at the same time managed to wrap up successfully. Even with server migrations and hiccups on the other project, I still get paid either way. Yes, I still pay myself first. Taking care of some chickens and whatnot.

I get a little bit of rest for the remainder of the week, then Chinese New Year, and then more meetings out of town. Different location too. Clientele networking, project wrap-ups, pending safety checks. Good times.

Now that that's all out of the way, I've got some good news and bad news. Good news is that I have a picture ready for the next month will be rolled out when I return from my business trip at the end of next week.

Bad, and unrelated news, a deadly unrelated shooting happened not too far from me earlier today. I know some friends and family that work about a two blocks away from the site, but they have to commute through that particular intersection to get home. That's the part that scares me. One of them actually called me about 10 minutes prior to the shooting and they were already in the car when the called, so they're already miles out of the area. I tried calling the others, but no response yet. I can only hope they are okay...

Anyway, I won't dwell on it too much. Last time I did that it nearly cost me my job. Time to get some sleep...
